Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 1, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how VidPic handles information when you use the website and its AI workflow tools. VidPic is designed to minimize local data collection and to let users connect their own API key rather than creating a traditional website account.
2. Information We Collect
VidPic currently works with a limited amount of directly handled information:
- API Key in Browser Storage: If you paste an API key into VidPic, it is stored locally in your browser so the site can send your requests to the third-party API platform.
- Task Input Passed Through the Interface: Prompts, images, and task settings you choose in the interface are transmitted so the connected third-party platform can process your request.
- Basic Technical Request Data: Like most websites, standard network and browser request information may exist at the hosting or infrastructure level for security, delivery, and debugging purposes.
3. What We Do Not Require
VidPic does not require you to create a VidPic username-and-password account for normal use. We do not ask you to register with VidPic before using the main tools, and we do not require you to submit billing details directly to VidPic in order to use your own connected API key.
4. How Information Is Used
The information handled by VidPic is used to render the website, remember your locally stored API key in your browser, submit generation requests to the connected third-party platform, and display task status or generated results back to you.
5. Third-Party Processing
VidPic relies on a third-party shared compute platform to actually run AI tasks. When you use VidPic, your prompts, files, task IDs, and generated results may be processed by that external platform under its own infrastructure and policies. Your API key is also validated against that platform.
6. Data Retention
VidPic does not intend to act as long-term storage for your prompts or generated media. Based on the current workflow described in the Help page, data on the third-party API platform may remain available for up to 7 days and may then be deleted automatically. You may also be able to remove data earlier through that platform directly.
7. Data Security
Your API key is stored in your browser rather than in a central VidPic user account system. However, no internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your own device, browser environment, and API key. If your key is exposed, you should reset it through the third-party API platform immediately.
8. Data Sharing
VidPic does not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed when necessary to operate the site, route tasks to the connected third-party platform, comply with legal requirements, or protect the security and integrity of the service.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
VidPic may link to third-party pages such as pricing or API purchase destinations. Those services are outside VidPic's control and may follow their own privacy practices and terms.
10. Children's Privacy
VidPic is not intended for unlawful use or for use by individuals who are not permitted to use such services under applicable law in their jurisdiction.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the product, the third-party platform workflow, or legal requirements. Continued use of VidPic after changes are posted means you accept the updated version.
